We meet up with Martin, Simon and Jane at the Barton Inn where the new owners were having a Folk and Beer festival. The weather was fantastic and the musicians were able to sit out and play in the courtyard. At 4.15 those who were interested gathered in the Skittle Alley to watch Silver Birch win the Grand National. Jude and I cycled home while Martin, Simon and Jane walked across the fields. Later that same evening we clamber over the fence with a bottle of Prosecco and sit in their garden until 8.30pm...What a lovely warm summery day it has been. Send a comment
